Ben Felicetti Ice hockey Burlington, ON Obituary

The Burlington hockey community, along with the wider Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League family, is mourning the devastating and sudden loss of Benjamin Denys Felicetti, who passed away on November 25, 2025, at just 22 years old. Born on April 3, 2003, Ben was a proud son of Burlington, a gifted athlete, and a vibrant young man whose presence brought light and energy to every space he entered.

Ben’s love for hockey began early in life, and through determination, talent, and an unwavering work ethic, he rose to compete in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, representing his hometown with honor. On the ice, he was known for his fierce drive, competitive spirit, and commitment to excellence—qualities that mirrored the strength of his character off the ice as well. Teammates, coaches, and peers speak of him as a leader, a reliable friend, and someone who lifted others with encouragement and positivity.

Yet beyond his athletic achievements, Ben was deeply loved for who he was as a person. Those closest to him describe him as “fierce and stubborn in all the best ways”—devoted, passionate, and wholehearted in everything he did. He adored his parents, Kerri and Dino, and shared a special bond with his younger brother Lucas, with whom he created countless cherished memories. Ben loved his family deeply, and his warmth extended to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were blessed to be part of his life.

His passing is an unimaginable loss, and words cannot capture the grief felt by all who knew him. The shock of losing someone so young, so bright, and so full of promise is overwhelming, and the void he leaves behind is profound.

In the wake of this tragedy, family members have created a GoFundMe to support Kerri, Dino, and Lucas as they face the emotional and financial weight that accompanies such a heartbreaking loss. No family is ever prepared to bury their child, and the support from the community reflects the deep love and respect so many hold for Ben.

Ben’s memory will forever live on through his family, his teammates, his friends, and the countless lives he touched. His bright spirit, his infectious determination, and the love he poured into those around him will be carried forward always.

May Benjamin Denys Felicetti rest in eternal peace, watching over the family and community who loved him so dearly.
