The community of Eldon, Missouri is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Katelyn Lea Ferguson, a vibrant and cherished young woman who passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 21 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. Born on March 14, 2004, Katelyn was the beloved daughter of Corbett and Amber (Plemmons) Eidson and William Ferguson. Her life, though far too short, was marked by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering love for her family—especially her children.
Katelyn was a proud student of Eldon High School and a member of Ninth Street Christian Church, where her gentle spirit and kind heart made a lasting impression on those around her. She was employed with Eldon Nursing Home and Rehab, a role that reflected her natural ability to care for others. Her coworkers and residents remember her as someone who brought light into every room, someone whose compassion touched lives daily.
Above all, Katelyn will be remembered for the love she poured into her two precious children, Lyndsey and Dayton, who were the center of her world. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter whose warmth and kindness left an imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
Katelyn is survived by her children; her parents, Amber and Corbett Eidson, and her father, William Ferguson; her sisters, Mckenzie Ferguson, Arabella Eidson, and Ansley Eidson; and her grandparents, Billy and Annie Rollins, Pennie Plemmons, Christine Ferguson, and Tony and Shirley Ferguson. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, David Eidson and Harriet Hunter, who now welcome her into eternal rest.
A Celebration of Life honoring Katelyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Ninth Street Christian Church, with Pastor Chris Reynolds officiating. Private family interment will take place at Hopewell Cemetery near Barnett, Missouri at a later date.
